The Department of Biology at the University of Nevada, Reno, seeks two tenure-track assistant professors in NEUROBIOLOGY. We seek faculty in the broad area of neuroscience whose expertisemight include integrative approaches spanning cells to systems, optogenetics, plasticity, neurophysiology, or behavior. Optogenetics is the focus area for one of these positions. Highly competitive startup funds are available. In addition, there is potential support from existing and pending NIH COBRE career development grants. Our faculty are expected to develop nationally recognized, extramurally funded research programs, to train PhD students, and to participate in undergraduate teaching. The department is also hiring one neurobiology lecturer.
